Common questions
How do you get the file under 50 KB exactly?
We resize to the required pixels first, then search for the highest image quality that still fits under the size limit. That way you get the smallest file the form accepts without it looking worse than it needs to.
Are my photo and signature uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your documents never reach a server, which matters because these are identity documents.
The requirements on my form are different. What do I do?
Pick Custom size and type the exact width, height and maximum KB from your notification. Boards change requirements, so always check the official document.
Why is my signature not cropped like the photo?
Signatures are fitted inside the frame so no part of the mark is cut off. Photos are centre-cropped to fill the frame, which is what passport-style requirements expect.
