ToolRead is a growing set of 51 advanced tools for everyday work — PDFs, photos, forms, reports and calculations. They are free, need no account, add no watermark, and do all of their work inside your browser.
- 51tools ready, more every week
- 0files uploaded to us
- 0sign-ups or accounts
- 0watermarks on your files
Your file. Your device. Your control.
This is not a promise about how carefully we handle your data. It is a statement about architecture — for our tools there is no server that could mishandle your file, because it never reaches one.
How it works
Almost every tool site uploads your file to a server, processes it there and sends it back. ToolRead skips the trip.
- You pick a fileIt is opened in the page you already have in front of you.
- Your browser does the workCompressing, merging, marking up or calculating — on your phone or computer.
- The result stays with youIt is saved straight to your device. Nothing is sent to us, so there is nothing to keep.
Advanced, but simple
Free tools are often the bare minimum. These go further, and still open with one click.
Why this is better — and where it is not
- A large file starts instantly — there is no upload to wait for.
- Once a tool is open, a bad connection does not slow it down.
- A confidential document stays confidential by default, not by policy.
- No limits on how often you use a tool, and nothing stamped on your files.
- Everything runs on your hardware, so a very large file on an old phone is slower.
- A few things a server does easily are simply not possible this way.
- If a tool ever needs a server, its own page will say so — we do not use one badge for everything.
How this is paid for
Advertising, eventually. The tools are free and will stay free. Because there are no servers processing your files, running this costs very little — which is why there is no subscription, no credit system and no daily limit.
Where ads appear, they will be marked as advertising and kept away from the buttons you actually need. We will never disguise an ad as a download button.
Shaped by what people ask for
Many tools here exist because someone described a problem they had. If a tool is wrong, missing, or awkward to use, write to hello@toolread.com — bug reports and ideas are read and answered by a person, not a support queue.
