Common questions
One friend ordered far more than the rest. How do I handle that?
Tap their share and type the exact amount they should cover. Everyone else then splits whatever is left equally, so nobody subsidises the big order.
What if several people paid parts of the bill?
Put the amount each person actually handed over in the Paid column. The tool works out everyone's net position, so someone who overpaid gets money back rather than paying again.
Why are there fewer payments than people?
Paying everyone individually creates far more transfers than necessary. The tool matches the biggest debtor to the biggest creditor, which clears the whole group in the fewest possible payments.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Nothing is saved and nothing is uploaded — the split is worked out in your browser and disappears when you close the tab. Share the text on WhatsApp if you want a record.
Can I send the result to the group?
Yes. Save it as an image and drop it in the chat — everyone sees the numbers at a glance without installing anything or opening a link. There is also a plain text version if you prefer.
Can I come back to a split later?
Yes. Press Save and it stays in this browser, so you can reopen it days later and tick off whoever has paid since. Nothing leaves your device, and you can delete any split — or all of them — whenever you like.
