Common questions
Can I print this?
Yes. The A4 size is 1240 by 1754 pixels, which prints cleanly at 150 DPI. Downloads also use a higher error-correction level than the preview, so the code still scans after printing, folding or a bit of smudging.
Is there a watermark or a subscription?
No watermark and no account. The only marking is a small toolread.com line at the very bottom, which you can crop off if you prefer.
Will the code expire if you shut down?
Never. The data lives inside the code itself — there is no redirect through our servers, so nothing we do can break a poster you have already printed.
My logo looks wrong. What format should I use?
A PNG with a transparent background works best, since the logo sits directly on the white panel. Square or roughly square logos fit the space most neatly.
Is it safe to print a Wi-Fi poster?
The password is stored inside the code, so anyone who scans it can join. That is fine for a cafe or guest network, but do not print your main home network password and stick it in a window.
Do I have to pay later to keep the poster working?
No. There is no subscription and no server in the middle. The link sits inside the printed pattern, so the poster keeps working whatever happens to us.
