Common questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. The video plays from your own device and frames are drawn straight from it in your browser. That matters for unreleased work and client footage.

What resolution are the frames?

The same as the video itself. A 1080p video gives you 1920 × 1080 images. Nothing is upscaled, and PNG keeps every pixel exactly as decoded.

How precise is the frame stepping?

Browsers do not tell a web page what frame rate a video uses, so each step moves one thirtieth of a second. On a 30 fps video that is exactly one frame; on 24 fps an occasional step lands on the same frame twice. The timestamp shown is always the moment you are saving.

PNG or JPG?

PNG is lossless — best if the frame goes back into an editor or an AI video tool. JPG is a fraction of the size and fine for sharing or thumbnails.

My video will not open. Why?

MP4 with H.264 plays in every browser. MOV and WebM depend on your browser and device. If one does not open, export it as MP4 and try again.

The last frame of my video is black or blurred.

Many videos end on a fade, and AI-generated clips often warp in the final moments. Switch to the Last clean frame tab — it checks the end of the video and points you to the sharpest frame.
