Common questions

What is a contact sheet?

One image made of small frames taken evenly across a video, each with its timestamp. It shows the whole clip at a glance, so you can find a moment without scrubbing through it.

Which frames are picked?

They are spread evenly across the video, starting a little after the beginning and ending a little before the end, so the sheet does not waste space on black fade-in or fade-out frames.

Why does it look sharper than other contact sheets?

Each frame is drawn straight from the video at the size it appears on the sheet, rather than stretched up from a small thumbnail. The sheet is 1920 pixels wide.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is read and the sheet is built inside your browser. Nothing leaves your device.

Can I save one frame at full size?

Yes. Switch to the Any frame tab, scrub to the moment and capture it at the video's full resolution.
