Common questions
Does this compare my device with other phones?
No. Points only compare runs on your own device and browser. Ranking you against other devices would mean collecting your data, and ToolRead doesn't do that.
My PDF is much bigger than the test file. How long will it take?
The result shows how many MB per second your device handled, and how long a 200 MB PDF would roughly take. That is for merging, splitting and reordering — compressing redraws every page, so it takes longer.
Why is my laptop slower on battery?
On battery, laptops lower their power limits and boost less to save charge. Turn off battery saver or pick a higher-performance power mode, or plug in for heavy work.
What does the heat test show?
It runs every core flat out for a minute. If the line drops, your device is slowing itself down to stay cool — common on thin laptops and phones.
Does it test my internet speed?
No. An internet speed test needs a server to send data to and from, and ToolRead has none — everything here runs on your device.
