How it works

Common questions
Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
No. Sound goes from your microphone to this browser tab only. A test clip is made only when you press Record, stays in the tab and disappears when you close it.
The bars don't move. What should I check?
Pick another microphone from the list, check the mute switch on your headset, and close apps like Zoom or Teams that may be using the mic.
I blocked the permission by mistake.
Open the "Permission blocked" help on the page — it shows the exact steps for your browser, phone or computer.
It works here but not in Zoom or Meet.
Your mic is fine. In that app's audio settings, pick the same microphone you see selected here, and make sure the app has mic permission in your system settings.
